Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Barney are BFFs again

Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Barney are BFFs again, Tamra Barney and Vicki Gunvalson are totally cool — just ask them! The veteran Real Housewives of Orange County stars’ friendship has been a roller coaster from the start, but was on a potential upswing at the beginning of season eight — only to hit yet another snag on the explosive Monday, April 22 episode.

After the pair called a very tentative truce a few episodes back, Barney tested the waters by inviting Gunvalson to an intimate dinner party at her not-yet-opened new health club, C.U.T. Fitness O.C.. Gunvalson accepted — and then surprisingly extended an invite to fellow housewife (and Barney enemy) Alexis Bellino. Although Barney and Bellino weren’t on speaking terms — last year, Bellino accused Barney of bullying her and even threatened to sue her — Barney reluctantly allowed Bellino to attend her bash.

Once the dinner party (also attended by Gretchen Rossi, Heather Dubrow and new castmember Lydia Stirling-McLaughlin) got underway, the proceedings quickly devolved into an ugly war of words between Bellino and Barney — with the hostess angrily pulling out Bellino’s chair and bellowing, “Get the f— out! Get out now!”

Barney also had a warning for erstwhile pal Gunvalson, Bellino’s escort for the evening. “Vicki, you can choose your side right now,” she said. “If you’re gonna side with her, then you get the f— out too. Done!”

So, how are things nowadays for Vicki and Tamra? “We got back together,” Barney assured Us Weekly during a recent visit to our NYC office. “We’re dating again!”

“We actually had a come-to-Jesus moment,” says Gunvalson, explaining that they reconciled — for real! — during a girls’ trip to Puerto Vallarta, where the pair found themselves “doing shots on each other, dancing on bars,” Gunvalson added.

(Relations remain icy with Bellino. After Monday’s episode aired, Barney told Us Weekly: “As far as the fight goes, Alexis wouldn’t let anyone talk, only herself. I had enough of the ‘victim’ crap and knew it was time for her to leave my building.”)
