‘Bear at door’: Canadian postman has fair excuse for failing to deliver parcel

‘Bear at door’: Canadian postman has fair excuse for failing to deliver parcel. A mail carrier in British Columbia, Canada, has been unable to deliver a package to a house – and it's all because of a bear on the prowl.

Matthew Fane, from a Vancouver suburb, tweeted Wednesday a photo of a note left for him by a Canada Post worker indicating that the reason he was unable to drop off a parcel was because there was a 'bear at door.'

A picture of the decent-sized black mammal has since surfaced to prove the claim, showing the grizzly scarily lurking out front of the house.

Disneys Frozen ruined my life news.com.au

Disneys Frozen ruined my life news.com.au. BECAUSE I’m a film critic, last fall Disney sent over an early DVD of Frozen — free.

Thanks, Disney! So far that freebie has cost me maybe $900.

I have two little girls, ages 6 and 2, and each of them has seen Frozen at least four times as many times as I ever saw Star Wars. Our apartment is bursting with Frozen storybooks, Frozen colouring books, Frozen dolls, Frozen stickers, Frozen games, Frozen puzzles, Frozen costumes and Frozen nightgowns.

Woman sues Disney claiming animated flick Frozen is based on her autobiography

Woman sues Disney claiming animated flick Frozen is based on her autobiography. A WOMAN is suing Disney for $250 million after claiming the animated kids flick Frozen is based on her life.

TMZ reports Isabella Tanikumi claims the movie is her true-life story and has similarities to her 2010 autobiography about growing up in the Andean mountains of Peru.

Frozen, which is the highest grossing animated flick of all time, has been a massive success for Disney, grossing a record $1.2 billion globally, with a sequel already in the works.

The story is said to be based on Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale, The Snow Queen.

But despite the flick featuring talking snowmen, trolls and a princess who turns anything she touches into ice, Tanikumi says the film company plagiarised her book Yearnings of the Heart and turned it into the kids flick.

Cheerleading robots have debuted in Tokyo by creator Murata Manufacturing. A TEAM of cheerleading robots have made their dancing debut in Tokyo as creator Murata Manufacturing demonstrated its cutting-edge sensor technology.

With curtains pulled back and Japanese pop music pulsing in the background, 10 doll-like robot girls with illuminated pompoms rolled out onto a stage to perform their choreographed routine on Thursday.

The cheerleaders stand just 36 centimetres tall, with matching bob hairstyles that hide the machinery inside their heads.

Murata said the team’s advanced gyro sensors, which are usually found in cars and digital cameras, kept them from falling off the balls that they wobble on during their routine.

Ray Rice’s NFL assault case highlights American sport’s shameful record on domestic violence

Ray Rice’s NFL assault case highlights American sport’s shameful record on domestic violence. EARLIER today, the US was rocked by footage showing NFL star Ray Rice punching his then-fiancee, now-wife Janay Palmer in an elevator.

Rice’s team, the Baltimore Ravens, sacked him. The NFL itself suspended him indefinitely. He will probably never play again.

Good. That punishment is long overdue, because over in the land of the free, sport stars have long been free to behave like ruthless thugs without any serious consequences.

This issue is bigger than football. Everyone from Seth Rogen to President Barack Obama has an opinion on Price’s case.
