Man attacked with own prosthetic leg, Police in Myrtle Beach said a man was assaulted with his own prosthetic leg.
The incident occurred Sunday evening, according to a report from the Myrtle Beach Police Department.
Jeffrey Johnson, 43, told police he was riding his moped about 6:30 p.m. when a man pushed him off the moped.
“Once the victim hit the ground, his prosthetic leg fell off,” the police report said. “While the victim was on the ground, the suspect began to kick and punch (Johnson). The suspect also picked up the subject’s prosthetic leg and hit him with it several times.”
Johnson said another man held him down while the suspect attacked him. Johnson suffered injuries above his right eye and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police said Joel Parrish, 35, was identified as the suspect. He faces charges of assault and second-degree battery, police said.
