Teen Hit by Softball Dies on His Birthday [VIDEO], A 16-year-old boy in San Diego County died after being hit in the chest with a softball during his high school P.E. class.

According ABC 10 report, 16-year-old Taylor Dorman was playing a game “over-the-line” during his P.E. class at Ramona High School on Wednesday when he was hit in the chest with a softball. Though the teen laughed off the injury, he collapsed 20 minutes later.

The coach called 911. Paramedics arrived quickly, and were able to stabilize Dorman before he was flown to a hospital.

Dorman was pronounced dead on Wednesday, April 10, which also happened to be his 16th birthday.
