Model hunts for false teeth in restaurant. It has emerged that mouthy supermodel Janice Dickinson was left horrified after losing two false teeth, which were so expensive they could "feed a small village", at a celebrity-studded restaurant recently.

The self-proclaimed world's first supermodel, 56, was dining with a pal at Sant Ambroeus when the incident occurred.

Before digging into lunch, Dickinson said she discreetly removed two 'slippers', or temporary teeth, and hid them in her napkin.

She later found herself 'diving under the table like a porpoise' in search of the lost two temporary teeth and had the whole eatery searching for her precious pearly whites the other day.

"It was the most incredulous moment that you'd never want to happen," the New York Post quoted Dickinson as saying of the dental disaster.

"I was so excited talking to [my friend] that I put my teeth in my napkin, and then I couldn't find them! Did they fall into the soup? These things are so expensive they could feed a small village," she added.

The former 'America's Next Top Model' judge and recent 'Celebrity Rehab' patient then began frantically searching under the table, ultimately 'beseeching' customers and staff to help locate the pricey choppers.

Dickinson eventually recovered the teeth, simply washed them off in the bathroom, firmly set them in place and returned to her food.
