Yolanda Ostoloza denies guilt

Prosecutors say that Yolanda Ostoloza, the US woman charged with allegedly pimping out her 15-year-old daughter during Super Bowl week, should get as many as a dozen years in prison.

The hard-bargaining position was announced when Ms Ostoloza appeared briefly in Manhattan Supreme Court, the New York Daily News reports.

Ms Ostoloza denies being guilty and will not elect to take a prison sentence, her lawyer Lawrence LaBrew says.

He said he is open to plea negotiations on the condition the prosecutors reduce their current stance from the four-to-twelve years thet are recommending.

“Ms Ostoloza has informed me that at this point under no circumstance is she going to plead” to the charge, Mr LaBrew said.

“She’s asking for a speedy trial.”

Ms Ostoloza, 39, allegedly sent her daughter to meet an undercover police officer who was posing as a client for sex at the New York Hilton on January 29.

She has pleaded not guilty and denies the charges.

The case has been adjourned until June 11.
