Billy Ray Cyrus On Piers Morgan

Billy Ray Cyrus On Piers Morgan.  If you missed the Billy Ray Cyrus interview on "Piers Morgan Tonight" on Monday, you weren't the only one.

Miley Cyrus' dad bailed on his scheduled appearance on the CNN show after the MTV Video Music Awards, leaving the British TV host high and dry for the would-be in-depth interview about his daughter's performance.

"Billy Ray was supposed to be on the show tonight to talk about his daughter's performance, but ..." Morgan, 48, reportedly said on air — with only 15 minutes left in the show.

The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer’s cancellation came so late that the East Coast feeds of the show weren’t able to edit out Morgan’s teaser to the interview, according to E! News.

"I'm not sure he's quite worked out what his explanation is yet … so we've decided to postpone it,” the host said. “We are going to get the first interview. I know he's watching tonight, so, Billy Ray, good evening and when you're ready, we will talk about this."

While Morgan may have been promised the first sit-down, Cyrus did briefly comment to "Entertainment Tonight" about the "We Can't Stop" singer's on-stage antics after the show.

"Can't wait to see her when she gets home," he said. "She's still my little girl and I'm still her dad regardless of how this circus we call show business plays out.

"I love her unconditionally and that will never change."
