Singer sues McDonald's, claims piece of glass ruined her voice
A soprano gospel singer claims that biting into a piece of glass at McDonald's has made her voice sound like a man's.

A Brooklyn gospel singer is suing McDonald's for ruining her voice.

Jacqueline Simpson, 52, claims she bit into a shard of glass bigger than a penny while she was having a chicken sandwich at a Broadway McDonald's near the World Trade Center in New York in May 2010.

Simpson told the New York Post that she noticed a change in her voice immediately.

“Now when I sing, I have a hoarse, rattly voice,” said Simpson, 52. "I still sing alto, but I can’t sing soprano like I used to.”

Simpson filed suit in Brooklyn Superior Court on Friday.

“I have to make a lot of calls for work, and I have to tell people that I’m not a man,’’ Simpson, who works as a clerk for the state Attorney General’s Office, told the Post. “Before, that never happened.”
