Renee Graziano Facing $77 Million Lawsuit - Mob Wives star Renee Graziano is sued for $77 Million defamation lawsuit by her plastic surgeon after he claims reality star is ruining his reputation on the show regarding recent surgery, Graziano said 'I went in beautiful and came out ugly.'
Dr. Andrew Klapper claims his business has been drastically hit after Graziano went on TV to talk about hhow she almost died on the operating table. He also claims she has failed to pay the $30,000 fee he charges for the multiple cosmetic surgeries.
“She has been on a media campaign to destroy this man’s professional reputation and she has succeeded,” mob lawyer Barry Levin, who is representing Klapper, said Monday. “His practice has diminished considerably in the last year.”
The operation was filmed as part of the reality show Mob Wives.
Graziano, daughter of Bonanno family consigliere Anthony Graziano, went to Klapper's clinic in 2011.
Soon after she gave several interviews where she described how the surgery almost killed her.
But Dr Klapper,43, claims in legal papers that Graziano had falsely claimed he almost killed her during a botched operation.
His lawyer Barry Levin said Graziano has waged a vendetta against his client including the filing of a false report with the state board that licenses doctors last March.
He also said Graziano falsely claimed Klapper never informed her of the risks involved in the surgery.
The lawsuit, filed by Levin in Brooklyn Supreme Court, points out that no action was ever taken against Klapper.
