Hippo stuck in pool in South Africa - A hippo was stuck in a swimming pool in South Africa and died during the rescue efforts.
The hippo ended up in the Monate Conservation Lodge's swimming pool after it had been chased away from its herd. The hippo spent three days stuck in the pool, and it became clear that the large animal was in trouble.
Simon Prinsloo, a wildlife rescue expert, along with some Veterinarians tried to save the big animal, they drained much of pool water and arranged a large crane to pull the hippo out of the pool, but unfortunately, the big animal died before he could be rescued.
