2012 August Product Recalls - From highline mushrooms recall to pbteen bunk beds recalled to dishwashers, consumers saw several products pulled from the shelves in the past month. Keep reading to see what else was recalled in August.

August 2012 food recalls

Clif Bar and Company recalled some of its 12-pack boxes of Blueberry Crisp CLIF Bars 17MAR13G3 due to possible mislabeling almonds.

Additional recalls:

Hummingbird Wholesale organic bulk pine nuts recall between 3/22/2012 and 8/16/2012 due to an undeclared ingredient peanuts.

Several hundred thousand Ready Pac products (ready pac apple recall) due to possible contamination listeria monocytogenes.

August 2012 children's gear recalls

Bumbo International recalled 4 million of its popular baby seats following several reports of children falling out of the chairs. Baby bumbo seat nineteen reports of skull fractures.

Nearly 400 PBteen beadboard bunk beds. PBteen bunk beds reports of panels that have cracked or broken.

Approximately 300 Babylicious cloth crib fringe fabric strips. Babylicious crib fringe recall strangulation hazard.

August 2012 children's clothing & toy recalls

Toysmith recalled nearly 90,000 of its Animal Snap Bracelets sharp edges due to potential laceration hazard. Animal snap bracelets eight reports of injuries.

August 2012 pharmaceutical recalls

Covidien recalled four lots (Shiley Tracheostomy tubes recall lot numbers) of its Shiley reusable cannula, cuffed adult tracheostomy tubes due to leakage problems. Shiley Tracheostomy tubes recall October 2009 through June 2012.

Additional recalls:

One lot of Hospira hydromorphone injection the lot number 12720LL. Single Carpuject containing more than the 1 mL labeled fill volume.

Several lots of Covidien DGPHP RFA high-power single use grounding pads and Cool-tip RFA electrode kits. Covidien cool-tip recall.

August 2012 meat recalls

Johnsonville recalled approximately 48,000 pounds of its Turkey Sausage with Cheddar Cheese products the establishment number sausage recall P-34224. Sausage recall pieces of gloves.

Additional recalls:

Approximately 4,100 pounds of Wegmans soup recall Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia due to customer complaints. Wegmans soup recall plastic fragments.
