Rock Hall Presenters

Rock Hall Presenters, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced on Tuesday the presenters who will induct the acts being honored next month at a ceremony in Cleveland. All of the presenters are musicians of some sort, except for one.


Comedian Chris Rock will induct the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The other presenters are as follows: Chuck D will induct Beastie Boys; John Mellencamp will induct Donovan; Stevie Van Zandt will induct Small Faces/The Faces; Bette Midler will induct Laura Nyro; Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill will induct Freddie King; Carole King will induct Don Kirshner; Robbie Robertson will induct Cosimo Matassa, Tom Dowd and Glyn Johns; and Smokey Robinson will induct the Miracles, as well as other famous backup groups The Blue Caps, the Comets, the Crickets, the Famous Flames and the Midnighters.

The selection of Rock might come across as a joke or a play on words, but there is a real connection. The comedian once directed and appeared in a Chili Peppers music video.

The presenter for Guns N’ Roses has yet to be determined.

The 27th annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held in Cleveland on April 14.
