Can dead bodies move, Can Dead Bodies Move? Well Sort Of, It is hard for many of us to believe but dead bodies can actually move for a period of time after death. There are actually several causes for this.

Before rigor mortis sets in permanently the body reverses itself for a little while befor stiffness sets in. Also, electrical impulses in the body can cause some involuntary muscle twitches. Gases can build up in individuals who are deceased causing some movements to occur as well. Air also needs to escape from a dead person’s body causing this phenomenon.


It may be scary to see a dead person moving around but it is a very natural process.

The phenomenon is very common and is no cause for alarm in other individuals who witness it.
