Christina Applegate to star in new sitcom. Christina Applegate, 39, is returning to prime-time TV. She'll play a working mom on a new NBC comedy. An actor of "Arrested Development" fame will play Applegate's husband and stay-at-home dad, and a "Saturday Night Live" alumna will play her best friend.
