Gillies slapped with NHL ban
The NHL slapped New York Islanders player Trevor Gillies with a 10-game ban for hitting Minnesota Wild forward Cal Clutterbuck from behind. The incident took place in the first game after Gillies finished serving a 9-game suspension for fighting when his teamed played the Pittsburgh Penguins.
