Mick Jagger hair 6000, A lock of Mick Jagger's hair fetched $6,000 at a charitable auction in London on Wednesday (July 3).
Reuters reports that an anonymous bidder claimed the bodily prize after bidders pushed the price to double its pre-sale estimate. The Rolling Stones front man's ex-girlfriend Chrisse Shrimpton sold the hair, which came in an envelope inscribed with the message: "Mick Jagger's hair after being washed + trimmed by Chris at Rose Hill Farm."
She is the sister of model Jean Shrimpton and met Jagger when he was still a student at the London School of Economics. The 69-year-old rocker's hair was among several unique pieces of music memoribilia items auctioned off through Bonhams auction house to benefit Changing Faces, a charity for people with facial disfigurements.
Other items included David Bowie's hand-written lyrics for his single "The Jean Genie" and a guitar once owned by Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page.
