Man killed puppy for food, Tampa cops said Thomas Elliot Huggins was making some real puppy chow.
On Thursday evening, Thomas Elliot Huggins fatally strangled his family's 5-6 month-old puppy, according to a news release from the Tampa Police Department.
After killing the dog, the 25-year-old Tampa man then cut up the pup into quarters and stored it in the freezer for future meals, cops said.
Later that night a family member called police.
When cops arrived at Huggins apartment they reportedly found the dog’s ribs cooking in a pot on the stove.
The dog’s head was in the garbage, the release stated.
Huggins is now in The Big Dog House.
Huggins is charged with the Animal Cruelty for the cruel killing of the dog. Animal Control took possession of the remains.
