Wanted star back after throat surgery, Wanted singer Nathan Sykes has made his first appearance on stage since undergoing throat surgery to save his voice.
The 20-year-old star joined his bandmates at London’s Wembley Stadium, where he opened Capital FM’s Summertime Ball to a sell-out crowd of 80,000 people.
Sykes is understood to have suffered a haemorrhaging vocal cord – the same condition that affected Adele in 2011 – and underwent surgery in Los Angeles in April.

Speaking after coming off stage, the singer said joked that he would miss watching daytime television and playing computer games.
“I’m going to miss my days of Jeremy Kyle, This Morning and the PlayStation, but it’s great to be back,” he said.
Sykes, who has yet to finish his vocals for the band’s next album, added: “Obviously I’ve spent time getting back to where I was before. But yes, I should probably work hard and get up to date.”
Bandmate Max George said it felt “pretty awesome” to have Sykes back on stage.
