The Coffee County ambulance was traveling with its lights and siren activated when the semi jack-knifed across the centerline and into the path of the ambulance. The ambulance struck the left side of the semi.
According to the reports, the patient was 65-year-old Charles Arvin Smith of Tifton. The emergency medical technicians were identified as 44-year-old Teresa Ann Davis of Axson, who was driving the ambulance, and 56-year-old Randall Whiddon of Ashburn.
