The adult film star, 38, was reportedly placed under citizen's arrest by her alleged victim, who flagged down a police officer.
She was charged and released on Sunday.
The incident occurred about 8pm on Saturday in Newport Beach, California, TMZ.com reports.
She was supposed to go to Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim later in the night to celebrate her 39th birthday.
Her birthday is Tuesday.
It is unknown who Jameson is accused of battering.
She has been in a relationship with mix martial arts fighter Tito Ortiz since 2006. He is the father of her four-year-old twin boys.
