Eiffel Tower Evacuated After Bomb Threat. The Eiffel Tower evacuated after an anonymous phone call threatening an attack on Saturday night.

The tower was reopened after around two and a half hours after police searches failed to find any suspicious objects.

The call came from the Paris suburbs at 7 p.m. local time and threatened an attack at 9:30 p.m., police said. Police anti-terrorism officers were investigating.

About 1,400 tourists and staffers were evacuated from the world-famous monument.
