Osama pay Rs50,000 bribe, The wonders of Pakistani Patwaris will never cease as even the most wanted terrorist of the world Osama bin Laden could not escape them without paying Rs50,000 bribe to allow him to build a house in Abbottabad. This interesting revelation was noted in Osama s diary, which was obtained during the US operation in Abbottabad in May 2, 2011.
The officials had found 137,000 documents from the compound of bin Laden, including his diaries. Osama used to write the diary daily. The US troops took several documents along with them from Osama s house as a proof. But the Pakistani officials discovered a diary in which Osama had described that he had to bribe the revenue officials for construction of his compound, which is a unique incident in the history when the Patwari had taken bribe from the most-wanted terrorist of the world.
The Patwari was in complete ignorance about the identity of Osama when he was taking the bribe from him. But the diaries, which were translated, revealed that Osama was not only well aware of this practice but the bribe was also given with his permission. The accounts were also obtained from the Patwari after being translated from his (Osama) diary. Osama was allowed to construct a three-storey house with 14-feet high outside wall and erect iron fence on it. The Abbottabad Commission had pointed out weaknesses of the institutions in its report and delineated the poor performance of these institutions. The officials had arrested and investigated the Patwari of Abbottabad who took bribe from Osama.
