The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported that police confirmed that "multiple people" were shot about 11 a.m. (noon ET).
Witnesses said the shootings happened either at or near the Azana Salon and Spa, across Moorland Road from the mall. Several stores in Brookfield Square were on lockdown while SWAT team members scoured the area for the shooter, who was described as a black male, 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighing about 270 pounds, with a bald head and brown eyes. He was believed to be driving a black 2003 Mazda.
