As the fallout mounted, the gorgeous hooker at the center of the ever-widening sex scandal went into hiding — because she felt her assets were over-exposed.
A lawyer for Dania Suarez said Friday she fled Cartagena, Colombia, after the Daily News published photos of her mugging for the camera in bikinis and stilettos.
“Put yourself in her shoes,” said the lawyer, Marlon Betancourt. “Her photo out there has caused her too much stress.”
He added that his client will cooperate with American authorities investigating the disgraceful episode involving 12 Secret Service agents and 11 members of the military prepping for President Obama’s trip to Colombia.
“She didn’t break any law,” Betancourt said. She didn’t do anything wrong.”
Prostitution is legal in Colombia in restricted areas.
Suarez, 24, told the New York Times that an agent agreed to pay her $800 for sex, then only gave her $28.
A confrontation ensued and police were called — blowing the lid off the sexcapades at the Hotel Caribe.
Initially, the Secret Service said 11 agents were suspected of bringing hookers back to their rooms; the Associated Press reported Friday that a 12th is now implicated.
Three Secret Service agents lost their jobs earlier this week, and two more are resigned and a sixth was fired on Friday, the AP said.
The Defense Department also revealed that 11 military members are now being investigated: six from the Army, two from the Marines, two from the Navy and one from the Air Force.
“They have returned to their parent commands,” said Army Col. Scott Malcom, Southern Command spokesman.
“They are required to remain at the home station until the investigating officer is done with them.
