TLC T-Boz Bankruptcy, TLC singer T-Boz files for bankruptcy, owes nearly $800,000 to creditors. The singer previously filed for bankruptcy in 1995.

Despite her successful music career, T-Boz has filed for bankruptcy.

The TLC group member, whose name is Tionne Watkins, owes creditors $768,643, reports TMZ.

According to documents filed last month in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, most of the singer’s debt comes from mortgages on her $1.2 million house.


The singer, 41, has reportedly not been managing her money well. Documents indicate T-Boz pulls in $11,700 a month in income, but has unreasonable monthly expenses totaling $8,821.

However, the four-time Grammy winner's current financial woes may not solely be based on money management. This isn’t the first time T-Boz has filed for bankruptcy. In 1995, the singer and her TLC bandmates filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the midst of success off their Grammy-winning album “CrazySexyCool.”
